snowboarder
Is anyone up to speed on breast pumps? I bought a philips avent electric one a couple of years ago for baby 1 - used intermittently (he never actually took a bottle!). Got it out to look at it the other day for baby 2 - but it looks a bit like it needs a massive clean. Then I got freaked out after consulting google - open and closed systems? And potential for mouldy old milk to be invisibly present in pump? So - do you need to buy new for new baby? Or will a good clean suffice? You obv cant clean the actual mechanism very well though... BellendenBear
Hadn't even thought about it! Have been using my Avent pump from 2 years ago. I use the manual one though which I find much easier than the electric one, and the whole thing can be sterilised.
