Exciting news...Pro Comedy is Back in South East London!

Recommended Posts

Once a comedy hub, Forest Hill is back on the map! Laugh Train Home is one of London's best comedy nights, and has found a new home in SE London (SE23). Even better, it happens to be run by local resident: Robyn Perkins. That's right, there is a new pro-comedy night, every Tuesday, bringing back the biggest names on the comedy scene to the local area.

After 7 nights of successful Edinburgh preview shows, Laugh Train Home is weekly every TUESDAY at The Honor Oak (a short walk from Forest Hill Overground Station). The night runs 8-10pm, with three sections of pro comedians, bringing you a great mix of styles across the evening.

The previews featured TV credited acts including John Robins (Mock the Week, Radio X), Ivo Graham (Live at the Apollo), Dane Baptiste (Hither Green superstar, Live at the Apollo & more), and Sarah Kendall (two time Edinburgh Award nominee), while the autumn season includes big names like: Kerry Godliman (Live at The Apollo, Derek), Zoe Lyons (Live at the Apollo), Marcel Lucont (John Bishop Shop), and more

Tickets will be ?6 in advance (Design My Night) / ?8 at the door. Find Perkins and these other comedy greats at The Honor Oak Pub at 1 St. German?s Rd., SE23 1RH. www.LaughTrainHome.com for more information.

    • Generally speaking, some medium size market towns and lesser cities always seem more  prone to random violence and aggro generally than anywhere I’ve been in London
    • Familiarity is important, I lived near Brixton in the old days and was fairly comfortable, but for many years avoided Peckham.  That has reversed in the last 15 years.   I recall around Dalston and the A10 and burned out cars.  Now super trendy. Pub violence has largely gone but that was groups of men getting drunk on Saturday night and brawling.  Similarly little football violence, East Dulwich/West Peckham was edgy last century.
    • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️   Rod comes highly recommended. He recently completed a challenging job in my garden, fox-proofing an outhouse using a large amount of hardcore and slate. The work involved a great deal of effort, but Rod handled it with professionalism and care from start to finish.   He specialises in working with stone, and it really shows in the quality of his work. He is also an incredibly hard worker, tackling the project with determination and skill. Throughout, he was responsive and reliable, always keeping me updated and communicating clearly.   I really appreciated the practical advice he offered along the way, which showed both his experience and his commitment to doing the job properly. On top of all that, his pricing was very reasonable, and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.   If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, hardworking, and knowledgeable, Rod is an excellent choice. His number is 07739180197
