Want to know more about Neighbourhood policing? Concerned about crime and anti social behaviour in East Dulwich?

Residents are welcomed to attend Ward Panel Meetings where local issues and crime statistics are discussed with local councillors, neighbourhood police and residents from the area.

I am advised that the next Ward Panel Meeting will be held at Christ Church Barry Road 25th October 18.30 onwards.

There will be 2 guest speakers - a representative from the Council's Anti Social Behavioural Unit and also a representative from a local Housing Association.

The current chair of the Panel is stepping down and nominations will be accepted for a new chair. For more details please phone 0208 8721 2447 or email [email protected]

Please come along to the meeting and meet members of the Safer Neighbourhood Team and to hear more about policing in East Dulwich

For those of you who could not make the meeting due to the half term holiday - we had a good meeting with Housing Association representatives. Southwark Anti Social Behavioural Unit and Southwark Mediation Service. They all spoke of their links with the police over various community issues and gave examples. Crime figures for East Dulwich were given and broken down into various categories.

Discussion took place as to topics of interest which could be presented at future meetings. What Police issues would local residents like more information on i.e. traffic speed, burglaries, crime prevention, etc.

Ideas either posted on forum or PM to me.

Since this was the first time I have attended this meeting - I am not sure whether there are minutes available but suggest anyone who wants more info to contact our 2 officers on 0208 8721 2447 or email [email protected] Our 2 officers usually hold their surgeries at Christ Church Barry Road from 12 - 1 pm on Wednesdays (subject to other duties taking a higher priority).

    • Generally speaking, some medium size market towns and lesser cities always seem more  prone to random violence and aggro generally than anywhere I’ve been in London
    • Familiarity is important, I lived near Brixton in the old days and was fairly comfortable, but for many years avoided Peckham.  That has reversed in the last 15 years.   I recall around Dalston and the A10 and burned out cars.  Now super trendy. Pub violence has largely gone but that was groups of men getting drunk on Saturday night and brawling.  Similarly little football violence, East Dulwich/West Peckham was edgy last century.
    • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️   Rod comes highly recommended. He recently completed a challenging job in my garden, fox-proofing an outhouse using a large amount of hardcore and slate. The work involved a great deal of effort, but Rod handled it with professionalism and care from start to finish.   He specialises in working with stone, and it really shows in the quality of his work. He is also an incredibly hard worker, tackling the project with determination and skill. Throughout, he was responsive and reliable, always keeping me updated and communicating clearly.   I really appreciated the practical advice he offered along the way, which showed both his experience and his commitment to doing the job properly. On top of all that, his pricing was very reasonable, and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.   If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, hardworking, and knowledgeable, Rod is an excellent choice. His number is 07739180197
