Midwife-Led Antenatal Classes New Year/ Spring babies

Recommended Posts

Are you interested in antenatal classes? Want to feel fully informed, confident and prepared for labour and caring for your newborn baby? Do you want to get to know a group of other parents to be who are at the exact stage of pregnancy as you in the area? Come and join The Group!

Vicky, Emily and Rachel run the group for FIRST TIME PARENTS. They are experienced, practicing midwives offering antenatal classes in The Lordship pub, EAST DULWICH, Half Moon Pub, HERNE HILL and The Signal pub, FOREST HILL. Their classes cover everything you need to know about labour and life with a newborn baby. The Group think it is really important for new parents to build a local support network with other new parents so we make lots of time for the group to bond over the 6 weeks of classes, social events and weekend classes.

Midwife and mum of two Rachel also runs a fantastic half day REFRESHER COURSE for second-time parents. Over brunch you can discuss plans for your next birth and how it may be different, preparing your older child and juggling life with a new baby.

We will teach you relaxation and self hypnosis skills to prepare women and their birth partners for the birth of their baby as well as aromatherapy and massage for labour and much more... http://www.thegroupantenatal.co.uk/hypnobirthing/

We also host the POSITIVE BIRTH MOVEMENT meet ups in Spinach on Lordship Lane. These are completely free for you to attend as a pregnant lady or new mum. It gives you a chance to meet the women and fill yourself with positivity around birth! We meet the first friday of every month 10am-12pm. • I don't really see the issue.  It's taking  up a small part of Goose Green.  I was able to happily eat my lunch there today witthout the fair impinging on my space or enjoyment. I presume they have chosen that location as it is near the playground, so parents with young children often go there at the weekend. • Here you go again trying to twist things saying I made personal saying I don't feel safe, but it's you firing and demanding answers, you're not the police and nor are you a moderator. No its not a reasonable question, nor is saying I should go live somewhere else.  You have a habit on here of "demanding" answers, not on.
    • Is this a popular event? If great demand for this sort of event on such a small space then so be it. It is just with Peckham Common so very close by just wondering why this is considered a preferable venue for this kind of thing?
    • Another recommendation for Jason who is brilliant all-round. He plastered our rooms and hallways (some walls were blown and needed re-boarding), replaced two ceilings and over-boarded one. From the start he was always communicative, happy to pop by to assess first, and transparent about the various options and their associated costs. He worked thoroughly, going above and beyond to make sure every job was finished to a high standard and is very fairly priced, particularly considering the hours he puts in. We’re so pleased with the results of our flat and have already recommended him unreservedly to others. Also helps that he is just a sound guy who’s really easy to chat to!
