My First Activity Toy, Brand New bought from BHS, but has never been taken out of its box. Would make a very nice gift. Price: ?3.


A Story A Day 365 Stories and Rhymes for Girls. Beautifully illustrated (padded covers). Would make a lovely gift. Price: ?2.


Snow Bear Book - Textured and beautifully illustrated - the colours are very vivid. Would make a lovely gift. Price: ?3. Pic 1 is a random page from the book.


Hairy Mole the Pirate by Chris Owen. Price: ?2.


Brand New still in Wrapper - Forever Friends Square Journal (100 pages with lines)the cost was ?4.99, which is still attached. Price: ?2.50. Would make a lovely gift.


Just Like Dad Says - A book of Dad's Wit by Geoff Tibballs. Cost ?9.99, which is shown on the back. Would make a very nice gift. Price: ?3.


Wooden Push-a-Long (Pink) with counting beads along the handle. Price: ?3.

      I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.

      Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?

      One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
