ATENTION-Unfortunately I would like to inform something terrible that happened this afternoon at Dulwich park. The person might step away for a while from this park so I think people around should be warned. This ladies pictured were in Dulwich park this afternoon with two white Staffordshires out of the lead. When I passed by one of them started to run in the direction of other dog out of the lead. The owner of the Staffordshire called him but he didn't obey. He suddenly attacked the other animal, bitten all his write side face and stayed there holding while the dog attacked tried to push his face away in deep pain. All people around tried to split the dogs, the owner of the dog attacked was even bitten in his hand by the white dog. I said to the owner of the attacker to open her animal's mouth and she just screams ' my dog was attacked', unbelievable. After around 6 minutes the dogs were finally release and the attacked dog with serious injuries bleeding in quite serious way. The police was called and while waiting, this ladies started to step away slowly and suddenly they were leaving the park gate in Dulwich village way. We went to call them and the older lady with the blue rain proof said she is a lawyer and that is nobody business, and that she wouldn't stay there and wouldn't give her details either. One of the park staff said she goes usually to dulwich park with her dog out of the lead. She might go to other ones for now after this. She is around 50 ' s , blonde and curled hair. I would just like to warn people that go to parks in this area because this lady simply runned away from her responsability saying even that nobody saw properly what happened, till I told her that I saw it all and she knows I did.

I'm pleased to see that you have taken the advice of others on Facebook and have posted on here. Apparently there are witnesses and a report has been submitted.

It was good to read that the other dog is ok.

I hope the person responsible comes forward.

Unfortunately there are many people that are irresponsible with their dogs no matter the breed. If you own a dog you will know their behaviour very well so you have to make sure that you keep it under control at all times. I own a staffy and although he is not aggressive and he is friendly with most dogs he will not back down from a fight if provoked therefore he is always on a 15 m lead.Knowing his power and the damage it can do to another dog I never risk letting him of lead.

It is horrible that people don't take responsibility of their dog.

With regards to the attack:Never put your hands on the dos mouth trying to open it,there is no chance to open a locked jaw that way.

Lift the dogs back legs up and have someone pull the collar up the neck and twist it.I know it sounds bad but chocking it a bit makes it release quicker. If it still doesn't work you will have to put a stick or a finger up the dogs bum and that will definitely make it release.

Try to keep the other dog as still as possible as it's movement will make the staffy hold on to it even longer.

I had to break up 2 staffies and the finger method was the only thing that worked.

Make sure that someone is holding the dog by the collar and keeps the dog up as once they realese they will try to get the dog again.

Sorry for such a long post!I hope my advice helps a bit and I do hope no one will have to do this.

Please remember always try to get the dog that is attacking and do not pick your own dog up.

Thank you so much for posting this and the picture and I am sure they will be found and held accountable for their actions! Horrible human beings shouldn't be allowed to own a dog+

Jambirre - please can I use your photo of the woman and her dogs to go on some posters to put up locally? We met with police today following an attack on my dog yesterday and they are taking it very seriously after numerous incidents. We have a crime reference (7962 6/12) and if anyone sees her they should call 101 and quote this. The police will attend and confiscate her dog immediately under the dangerous dogs act.

    • Nothing to do with the tories overspending whatsoever eh! Blame the last 10/11 years of blatant mismanagement, incompetence and willful deceit on the poor bastards that were left with the fall out of a complete car crash tory government.   One PM after another falling on their sword. Open corruption and piss taking throughout covid and a legacy of huge debt and destruction yet in your view it will be labour's 4 years in power that bankrupts us in 2029.  Another one that must think people are blind and stupid.  Rejoice rejoice. It's a pity he and his fellow clowns were completely annihilated at the ballot box. I mean they were doing so well after all 🙃🙃
    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
