Plumber recommendation - Peter Bennison

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

As Peter exceeded my expectations and mentioned he would be delighted by a recommendation on the Dulwich forum, I just decided to do it.

So I had my in-laws over the week end to look after our daughter while my wife and me were travelling, and of course the boiler (Valliant ecotec plus 937) decided to stop working with an enigmatic F-75 error.... There goes the heater and hot water!

They could survive (if I may slightly exaggerate) through the backup electric shower and heater fan in the kitchen, so I started looking only on Monday morning for some help.

I called quite a few plumbers that I know (not my first time!) and could not reach anyone, until Peter answered his phone. He was very verbose on explaining what I should quickly do to check for him. He was then convinced he needed to intervene, but was clear that he had too much on his plate and could only come Tuesday at best.

a few hours later, he however called quickly to offer an immediate visit. He went to work straight away, and it was hard as our boiler is not installed in a very practical way. Nevertheless he drained the water, changed the pressure sensor which was very clogged up, tested the whole thing and explained the issue in a great level of detail. I found him extremely knowledgeable, eager to explain and looking for the best way to solve the issue I had.

I will definitely keep his number!

    • It’s good we are having this discussion. My point of view is that we are definitely witnessing an attempt at genocide in Palestine, the right wing of the Israeli government have some awful views, some of the language representing the worse of humanity.  Jewishness should not be conflated with Israel or Zionism, I see that has been the case for some of the comments in this thread. Conflating the actions of a Zionist Israeli Government with Jewish people is actually considered antisemitism and is a very dangerous way of thinking, leading to Jewish people in the UK feeling unsafe.    Support peace and march today, I have been many times and met some lovely people.  It’s a long read, but if any of you are interested in how early Israeli settlers from Europe viewed Arab-Jews and the consequences do have a read.  https://www.vox.com/world-politics/24122304/israel-hamas-war-gaza-palestine-arab-jews-mizrahi-solidarity
