I applied for a retail position this week in a family business in lordship lane in retail I could not upload my CV on the sight it was advertised so did a cover letter stating I have worked in Liberty's and John Lewis W1 and have excellent customer service and extensive knowledge of the products they sell could I send CV direct.

I had a email asking me my age which is 53 to which I sent, had know reply back

Sadly I had a sudden death the day after and email stating I would not be around for the next 3/4 week's because of this and could I still send CV even if it was for future positions

I had know reply not even to say sorry for your loss.

Am I being to sensitive

What they did not know I have been a customer since they opened in the late 90's going in monthly for my products

    • CPR Dave is anti-dogs. Each to their own  I think my dog has perhaps grown a bit less nervy about the fireworks in the last few weeks, interestingly. Our last dog had no problems with them until he reached old age, when he became petrified.  CPR Dave - it's not just sounds of the metropolis they hate, mine collapses in fear when he hears thunder too
