Solid Oak Kingsize Bed and Mattress for sale

I am sad to be selling our lovely solid oak bed and mattress.

The bed is a UK Kingsize (for a 5ft mattress). The frame is 4 inches wide, so it?s about 5 ft 8 inches wide in total.

The headboard is leather and oak, the frame is solid oak, as are the fronts of the 4 under-bed drawers (on casters).

The mattress sits on 2 metal frames, one for the top half and one for the bottom. The frames have wooden slats that are gently arched to provide additional support. The wooden frame is fitted together with high quality metal fittings and comes apart pretty easily into four separate parts.

The bed is in excellent condition, the only damage being that a couple of slats and holders have broken over time (PM me if you would like to see a pic). It doesn?t seem to make any real difference to comfort, but I have checked and replacements are easily and cheaply available (search for 63mm bed slat holders or 60mm bed slats).

The mattress is originally from Dreams, and I think it is an 800 pocket sprung mattress, and in good condition. The bed and frame were bought a few years ago for c?1,000.

I?m looking for ?350 for bed and mattress ONO, or ?300 for the bed frame alone. Pick up from SE5.

Thanks for looking!

    • Exactly what I said, that Corbyn's group of univeristy politics far-left back benchers would have been a disaster during Covid if they had won the election. Here you go:  BBC News - Ex-union boss McCluskey took private jet flights arranged by building firm, report finds https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp3kgg55410o The 2019 result was considered one of the worst in living memory for Labour, not only for big swing of seats away from them but because they lost a large number of the Red-wall seats- generational Labour seats. • Agreed and in the meantime its "joe public" who has to pay through higher prices. We're talking all over the shop from food to insurance and everything in between.  And to add insult to injury they "hurt " their own voters/supporters through the actions they have taken. Sadly it gets to a stage where you start thinking about leaving London and even exiting the UK for good, but where to go????? Sad times now and ahead for at least the next 4yrs, hence why Govt and Local Authorities need to cut spending on all but essential services.  An immediate saving, all managerial and executive salaries cannot exceed and frozen at £50K Do away with the Mayor of London, the GLA and all the hanging on organisations, plus do away with borough mayors and the teams that serve them. All added beauracracy that can be dispensed with and will save £££££'s
