vintage Rolex oysterdate FS - just serviced

Recommended Posts

Looking to sell my vintage SS Oysterdate 6694 - fully serviced and resealed a couple of months ago, original riveted oyster strap (These are very hard to find now ),plexiglass with date bubble. Dates from about 1965 according the the database and keeps very good time c. 5-10 seconds a day. the standard riveted bracelet has has a modern extender subtly fitted, so fits a modern wrist rather than the weedy '60s ones.

Immaculate silver tritium dial with gold crown, hands and markers. It has a few light dings and use marks, but this isn the usual rubbish that has been machine polished to within an inch of its life for resale. comes with rolex box

Ready for the next 52 years. looks half its age. . Could be a good birth year watch for someone!

pics to follow

OIRO ?1475

Its about 34/37 mm across including the screw down crown, so about the size of the smaller modern mens datejusts but as its all SS, it seems to wear bigger IYKWIM. Not the usual lumpy sports models that I have had over the years and never got on with. A decent understated watch that will not need another service for a long while yet

thanks

    • Between Herne Hill and North Dulwich gives you good options for transport. You have the line into London Bridge, trains to Victoria and the Thameslink into City Thameslink. Plus it's not too far from Brixton tube.
    • Wow - will do as you say - just find it extraordinary one needs to post something so trivial as this on forum - each to their own. Been a%member for a long time and know the-forum well - bought sold, given things way, had hubs and offered advice…
    • You do know that this post is the reason that forums exist? So that people can ask for help, advice etc.  I'm not sure what "...daughter of mothers"  means but if you mean friends, not everyone has friends, or is confident enough to ask other mums at the school. Oh and you it's nothing to do with your age -  be kind, be helpful or if you can't, leave it to someone who can.
    • We got our daughter's done at Superdrug. They have a designated, trained member of the team so it's not just a random shop assistant who does it.  It was fine, there's not much to say other than the piercings are in the right place and there's been no problems afterwards
