Our next Calm & Confident Breastfeeding workshop will be taking place on Monday 6 November, 10.00am-12.30pm just off Lordship Lane in East Dulwich.

I don't have an agenda with breastfeeding. I strongly believe that each woman - as with birth - has the right to make decisions based on what feels right for her and her baby. I also believe that she will make happier decisions if she is informed, armed with the knowledge, tools and techniques to make her journey more calm, positive and engaging. Happy mum. Happy baby. And that's exactly why I've scoured to find the most wonderful lactation specialist I can - Imogen Unger, and collaborated to offer you an outstanding antenatal workshop covering everything you need to know about feeding your baby. This woman-only workshop last for 2.5 hours, and will cover:

How breastfeeding works - supply and demand, let down reflex, importance of emptying the breast

How to establish a good milk supply

Identifying early feeding cues

Positions for breastfeeding

How your partner can support you

How to know if your baby is getting enough milk

Size of a baby's stomach and understanding milk volume

Poo and wee (of course!)

Troubleshooting - mastitis, sore nipples, top-up trap, tongue-tie

Expressing

Mixed feeding

Paced bottle feeding

Returning to work

Your questions answered

Handouts that you can take home and share with your partner

    • Generally speaking, some medium size market towns and lesser cities always seem more  prone to random violence and aggro generally than anywhere I’ve been in London
    • Familiarity is important, I lived near Brixton in the old days and was fairly comfortable, but for many years avoided Peckham.  That has reversed in the last 15 years.   I recall around Dalston and the A10 and burned out cars.  Now super trendy. Pub violence has largely gone but that was groups of men getting drunk on Saturday night and brawling.  Similarly little football violence, East Dulwich/West Peckham was edgy last century.
    • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️   Rod comes highly recommended. He recently completed a challenging job in my garden, fox-proofing an outhouse using a large amount of hardcore and slate. The work involved a great deal of effort, but Rod handled it with professionalism and care from start to finish.   He specialises in working with stone, and it really shows in the quality of his work. He is also an incredibly hard worker, tackling the project with determination and skill. Throughout, he was responsive and reliable, always keeping me updated and communicating clearly.   I really appreciated the practical advice he offered along the way, which showed both his experience and his commitment to doing the job properly. On top of all that, his pricing was very reasonable, and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.   If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, hardworking, and knowledgeable, Rod is an excellent choice. His number is 07739180197
