I have asked my Dr, who sat on the fence and said it's up to my insurance company. Upon calling them they say when I am medically able...... Bit of a catch 22!!

Section was 2 weeks ago, all healing nicely, no pain, no pain killers and could physically easily drive and do an emergency stop if necessary.

Last time I waited until the 6 week check and the Dr still sat on the fence and wouldn't say either way, although did confirm scar had healed nicely! Don't want to wait unnecessarily but also don't want to end up in a situation where the insurance company can claim I wasn't medically fit........

Anyone else had this issue? Is there an answer?

I rang my insurance company - they weren't bothered. Spoke to midwives - they said up to you but advise 6 weeks. I basically thought I had to get out of the house once husband had gone back to work, and it was more effort to walk and push the p&t...so I drove at just over 2 weeks. Only locally, not far. Mind you hefting toddler into car and baby in car seat was probably the worst bit...

    • Don't you just hate that at theaters and cinemas  I know food and drink sales help keep ticket prices down but nothing is more off putting then a badly timed crunch of crisps after frantic rattling of plastic.
    • Went to see the Tony-Winning Stereophonic last night, the play that is apparently not about the recording of Rumours but is set in a recording studio in Sausalito in the late 70's and features a band with three Brits (two men, one woman) and two Americans (one man, one woman). It was good but I wasn't blown away, wasn't helped by the number of people chomping on noisy snacks throughout the performance !
    • We tried norbert's on Friday night. Of course there are cheaper places to eat chicken in SE22 and we overdid it on the sides because we wanted to try out their range of options. But it's very good quality chicken and two people could easily be satisfied sharing half a chicken and chips which would be £24 – £12 each.
