Wooden Pull-Along Farm Trolley ?65

Recommended Posts

Hand made by carpenter - a wooden pull along cart with draw bar and handle. ?65.

Totally unique, there is not another like it.

It was made by a carpenter for his grandchild, but owing to unfortunate circumstances was barely used and shows no sign of use such as knocks and dents. It is made of pine wood with a plywood load deck in the trolley. It is in its natural state - un-varnished, un-oiled and un-painted thus giving you the freedom to leave it as it is or treat it in some way. The wheels all turn and the cart steers. The wheels creak a little when the cart is pulled owing to the nature of the material - wood on wood. This is not a fault, it's a characteristic of the materials used.

It is very large. The photos with the bottle of wine (not included in sale !) give a quick indication of size. The measuring tape helps too.

The cart itself is 15 inches (38cm) high, 14 inches (36cm) wide and 24.5 inches (63cm) long. The draw bar is 26.6 inches (67cm) long giving an overall length of around 52 inches (132cm). The solid wood wheels are themselves 8 inches (20cm) in diameter and 1 and a quarter inches (3cm) thick. Owing to its raw state, there are one or two marks, particularly on the deck, which may look like a small water stain - I'm not sure. Gentle sanding should remove this, but it's barely noticeable.

I have plenty more photos available.

It is solid wood and pretty heavy. I can deliver locally SE22/SE23.

Looked at Suzanne in the past and she is quite expensive, but if planning a wedding or similar - she is reasonable compared with other caterers. Where is Trinco?     I doubt that the children would like Vietnamese food  although they do like curry and things like chilli con carne, We only have a family meal once or twice a year - this year it is to celebrate a 40th , 53rd,  and 27th birthday- we are both pensioners so we need to keep an eye on prices.  I have in the past cooked for 12 people but it is a tight squash getting everybody in especially as the grandchildren have got older.
