Online jewellery retailer Arlette Gold (arlettegold.com) has made the move into bricks and mortar, with a winter, pop-up shop opening at Brixton?s White Boutique. The three-week-only store will feature artfully picked pieces from a team of international, independent designers that are unusual, affordable, classic and reflect contemporary trends.

Established in 2017, Arlette Gold specialises in telling the story of their designers and processes ? every piece comes with a backstory and meaning. The shop will be the perfect place to find thoughtful presents, affordable indulgences, or simple ways to update your look ? find anything from a present for a partner to a stocking filler for a child.

Oh yes ? Arlette Gold is not just for the grown-ups. The store?s range includes an specially selected collection for children; contemporary, cutting-edge, and age-appropriate with a healthy smattering of gender neutral items ? these pieces are never tacky or boring. There are even bespoke, scaled-down versions of adult pieces perfect for parent-and-child matching.

The store will be open Thursday 16th November - Sunday 3rd December.

    • tried the traditional beef empanada yesterday and it was amazing honestly, hotter and better than the other place (no offence!). I really don’t see the issue with having more than one of the same type of shop – we’ve got Indian restaurants, two supermarkets, two cheese shops, two pizza joints, even two paint shops! So I don’t get what all the fuss is about. Good food is good food, and there’s room for everyone.
    • I understand you access ancestry from any Southwark library computer. Or see the real post office directories in archive.
    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!
