Our car was stolen three weeks ago from outside our house and of course as usual the police can do absolutely nothing. I am convinced this is an opportunistic theft and someone has just used it to get home/round the corner as it would definitely have been someone walking past while my husband was getting shopping, kids, scooters and the dog into the house. So my cry for help is if anyone has a grey VW Touraeg which has mysteriously appeared outside their house and has been there for some time (probably with one flat tyre now as we had a slow puncture) could you please get back to me? Cars can sit for some time in London before anyone realises it has been abandoned and by that time the insurance company will have written it off.

It's a long shot, but I would really like my car back. Many thanks.

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
