Gardenman
This week, I am taking orders for ethically grown Christmas trees of all sizes for delivery to your door at weekends to save you some time. Orders placed this week, will be delivered next weekend. I am looking for tree stands if needed & will let you know about these. Sadly I can't find any fairies!! You'll just have to make your own. I will be making a 10% donation of profits to Shelter. It's going to get cold this winter & in 2017 we shouldn't be having homeless people in our communities. Gardenman
When you get your tree, keep it outside until you are ready to bring it in, put it up & decorate it. When you get it home cut a small slice off the bottom of the stump to allow it to absorb water when you put it in a bucket of water to rehydrate after its long journey to your home. Put some sugar in the water, or better still, put a bottle of full sugar lemonade in the bucket. When you bring it indoors, spray it with Luke warm water to allow the branches to settle back into position. Remember to top up the water whilst it is on display. LED lights run at a lower temperature than standard ones helping the tree to remain fresher all the way to Christmas & beyond. Be careful with positioning of the fairy!! You have been warned :-)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/175130-ethically-sourced-christmas-trees-delivered-to-your-door-tips-for-looking-after-your-tree/#findComment-1199251 Share on other sites
