Offering Babysitting or Assistance

Hello everyone,

I am Isabel (23), living in Honor Oak Park and I am looking for a Job as a babysitter or attendant in South East London.

I am currently doing an internship in a bilingual nursery in Forest Hill (I can provide a DBS-Check).

In July this year I finished my studies of Social Work in Freiburg, Germany. Besides my studies I?ve been working in an Assisted Living for young people with Autism and during my internship semester in an inclusive Youth Welfare Institution I could gather experiences working with teenager with and without autism.

I am available Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday the whole day. The rest of the week I am working until 5 pm but would also be happy to support you in the evening (maximum weekly working hours would be 10h/week).

I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Isabel

Dear Isabel,

I would be very interested to meet you. We are a lively creative family living in Camberwell, SE5, which is a bus ride from Forest Hill, possibly also from Honour Oak park (Not sure!).

We have a teenage daughter with cerebral palsy, who is a very able wheelchair user, bright and chatty, but slow to process thought and action with the result that she sometimes gets very frustrated and can behave a little as though she is autistic though she does not have this diagnosis.

We very much need some help on weekends and some evenings in the holidays, as she would like to do things without me, her mother!

Please give me a call on 0780 157 4908 or email me a message on [email protected] and tell me if you would be interested to come and meet us, yes or no.

Thankyou, kind regards, Tamar Maas

    • Trinco is at 20 Lordship Lane, near Goose Green. The building is called Oru Space although I did notice the other day that there is a small neon sign that says Trinco outside though easy to miss. Good for Sri Lankan vegetarian curries, not good if you are after chicken tikka masala-style food that all the other curry restaurants in Lordship Lane serve (edit - sorry Moovart, I've just seen you've also answered this!).

    • Don't forget Netflix. A few weeks ago, the US issued a security strategy document warning of Europe's "civilisational erasure" due to immigration. Britain's culture however faces a greater threat from the more subtle influence of American entertainment promoting American values and the American way of life, a kind of "Netflixisation". There are many people who are happy to pay a Netflix subscription but refuse to pay the BBC license fee, so money goes into making more American entertainment while depriving the necessary investment into British programming. I wonder at the timing of the issue of the US demand for Greenland becoming news again and can't help but think it is partly a Trump misdirection of Europe's attention from the dreadful events in Minesota and elsewhere in the US. Putin of course would love it if there was conflict between the US and Europe.
