I don?t normally post recommendations, but I?ve just had my house decorated by someone so fantastic, I have to share it. A friend told me to use Martin. He told me that he?s really hard to get hold of, but that he?s worth waiting for as he?s a perfectionist. He wasn?t wrong. He?s transformed our home, inside and out. Not only is he brilliant at what he does, he a really lovely person and was a pleasure to have around. He even offered to feed our cat while we were away on holiday. I can?t recommend him enough. You won?t be disappointed!

  I thought of going to the States for the World Cup. But I just can't - Trump, the nonsense of entering the States and what UEFA has done to the sport including enlarging the competition and selling out to Gulf/Middle East States has put me off.   Unfortunately we can see from the history of the Israel -Palestine situation that a peace accord now won't necessarily lead to long-term peace and statehood for the Palestinians. This has been going on for decades, ever since the Palestine authority gave refugee status to Jews fleeing the Nazis in the 1930s and 1940s. Britain has a shameful role in handing the problem on to the League of Nations and since then the world has watched on and done nothing or very little.

  Why are we even discussing this? If Trump gets the Nobel Peace Prize he can put in on the mantelpiece with his dodgy golf trophies. We all know he is an egotist and an award wont suddenly make us admire him.
