Alan Medic
Can anyone remember how to reclaim your purchases when you download it on a new computer? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17690-i-tunes-purchases/ Share on other sites
Frankito
I think you have to back it up tp a detachable hard drive and then download again onto the new machine. *pees in the corner* Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17690-i-tunes-purchases/#findComment-442384 Share on other sites
Alan Medic
I'd expect nothing less from you Frankie. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17690-i-tunes-purchases/#findComment-442399 Share on other sites
Applespider
Yeah... you're supposed to have them backed up and transfer them over. Apps you can go and 'buy' again and it won't charge you but not music. However, if you email iTunes customer service and tell them your old computer got nicked (and you haven't done it before), they will often allow you to download your music purchases again but they have to trigger something at their end. Alan Medic
I've done it before where I know the 'purchases' were recognised. Nothing to do with the rest of the library. Just can't remember how. Applespider
Hmm... the only other way I can think of is if you've bought them on an iPod or iPhone with a Purchased playlist - then when you plug it in, it should offer you the opportunity to download purchased items (if you're signed into the same account in iTunes already) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17690-i-tunes-purchases/#findComment-442463 Share on other sites
