What happened here is so incredibly shocking. I just cannot imagine it! I find it hard to comprehend that four different drivers hit this woman and drove on. How do the police know it was four? I do hope there were witnesses and all the drivers are already close to arrest.

I sometimes watch Police Interceptors which is about traffic cops in Essex and Lincolnshire and they frequently pick up uninsured drivers, banned drivers, drunk drivers and I daresay there will be plenty of those types passing through Tulse Hill. There seems to be a lot of use of ANPR in the programme, flagging up cars linked to drugs, no insurance etc

Lorries that have no MOT get massive fines and she was hit by 2 of them and 2 cars on a pedestrian crossing at 06.48 on Monday. Surely there must be CCTV cameras around there- it's a joke these days on the roads.

It reminded me of the incident when someone collapsed on the tube platform and people just walked over the person....

I can understand one car knocking someone down but for 3 other cars to run her over to make sure the person is dead, and not stop to check and ring for an ambulance. What is in the minds of these drivers. I hope the CCTV got their registration numbers.

Our thoughts and prayers for the victim's family.

I can only think they didn't see her - or worse didn't realize they had hit a person, especially if the car in front had done the same and just driven away normally.

It's unbelievable to conceive someone would do this, know they've done it and carry on as normal.

SOMEONE must have noticed odd behavior at home. I would be beside myself.

This is just appalling. I would think they have a good chance of finding the drivers though. There will be CCTV all over the place that they can trace the routes of those vehicles through and there will be a shot clear enough at some point to get a registration.

    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
    • How about trying the upstairs of some local pubs like EDT? They prob won't stay open until wee small hours but worth a try... or night at Rivoli Ballroom Catford (too old?!) or somewhere up in town for drinks rather than hiring somewhere.
    • Sadly crime does seem to be going up in terms of opportunists and street crime / bike thefts etc. Lack of CCTV in this area means it's more of a target than some neighbouring areas according to police (when they sent victim support round after our car had its catalytic converter stolen twice in 6 months by organised gang complete with balaclavas, iron bars and a chainsaw.. driving a 4x4). Crime still relatively low by some parts of London standards but a worrying trend if burglars are trying their luck when people are actually home. Wonder what local police/ MP thoughts are in terms of whether they could organise more community policing patrols. I read a woman was punched in the face on/near Lordship Lane in an unprovoked attack a week or two ago. Terrifying.
