Part Time Nanny Required for Nanny Share

We are two families who live 5 minutes apart in Honor Oak Park / Crofton Park and are seeking a nanny share for two engaged and energetic (soon to be) 12 month olds from January 2018. Born two weeks apart, the boy and girl have very similar nap and mealtime routines already established. As the children are beginning to really explore the world around them we would like a nanny who takes an active interest in child development and enrichment through day trips, attending playgroups and meeting up with other nannies.

We are seeking someone to support our two families not just in basic childcare, but are also looking for a nanny to take the initiative and can respond positively to suggestions, communicate openly, and will create an environment for our children to develop further and thrive.

We believe the focus of the nanny should be on the children's needs, their enjoyment and their physical and mental development. Meals will typically be prepared in advance though the nanny may be required to do simple meal preparation (omelets, porridge, pasta etc.). No light housework is required for this role.

The two sets of parents can be flexible with start / finish times, however we are looking for a minimum of 8 hours per day. The role will start at 1 day per week with the view to increase this to 2 days per week by March. A small monthly budget will be provided for all outings.

Required

- Up to date infant first aid training

- Up to date criminal background check

- At least 2 references contactable by phone

- Comfortable with routine based parenting style and CIO sleep training methods

- Interest in child development

- Practiced at giving medication

- Experience with nanny share / caring for multiple children

Desirable

- Nursery background or child development courses / training

- Second language

    • If you’ve got four quid spare, go and try one. Myself, I like the mozzarella and spinach, but there’s no accounting.
    • More of a Steak Bake kinda thing, then.
    • You might want to try the Peckham Facebook community group. I am located in East Dulwich & have 2 well-used scratchers: A large single post (ideal for an adult cat) & a small cat tree with 2 short posts (ideal for kittens) While the wear & tear is nowhere near as bad as the one shown in the link below, ideally the sisal should be replaced to get the best use out of it (& neutralise the scent of another cat) hence why I haven't donated these to a shelter. You may find this link helpful: https://thegreenmadhouse.com/diy/how-to-repair-your-cat-scratcher But you can just get a brand new one between £10-£30 on Amazon that'll last much longer. It all depends on what type of scratcher you're looking for; material, size, vertical or horizontal. Your little lion will let you know by whether they're currently scratching down or up, like a mat or armchair for example. More than happy to send location & leave in front garden for pickup.
    • Would happily take it off your hands! Preferably in Peckham. Thanks 🙏🏻
