Until it started buffering constantly on Boxing Day night ....Back to normal last night though .....The Ivy House was open for two hours on Christmas Day and was absolutely rammed :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/177752-happy-christmas/#findComment-1206850 Share on other sites

Angelina
That's not nice to hear JohnL - you've had a pretty rough time - hope you're ok?I suppose, if I'm completely honest - I love my family but the schedule - do this, then and this next and then this and this and this. ...I would love to just go away for Christmas and New Year - just away completely - and take everyone with me. A nice ten star hotel on an island somewhere hot (but not too hot, my nan won't like it). The pressure to make sure everyone is happy is unbelievable. It's like we all have a schedule to follow and can't just do our own thing. My sister cooks for around 15 people and does so well, I would love her to just chill. Maybe I should hire a chef one year, and waiters.I do - however - absolutely LOVE the week between Christmas and New Years Eve. It's as if time stops and anything goes. Can't quite get my head around the fact I've got a 9am meeting with the boss tomorrow. but he's super fab, maybe we'll get coffee and it will be okHappy 2018 everyone... and you Natty xx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/177752-happy-christmas/#findComment-1207775 Share on other sites

Angelina
thanks Natty. I wish. Making people happy is a life goal I have. Life is hard and we're not kind enough to ourselves or each other.I'm not kind enough to myself. Maybe that should be my resolution this year. Nigello
JohnL - Sorry to hear you were abused. Please report it and CC your MP/local councillor. It is a valid and effective way of making your voice heard. Tell the managers at the WH about this thread as well. Happy 2018!
