Hi,

Keen to find out where he has gone to if his ?hut? has been destroyed by fire so I can take him stuff, if anyone sees him and where he?s set up camp could you please message to let me know so I can take him stuff, many thanks

Hi admin, I posted this in the general section (as the other thread about this man is) specifically because I wanted the most people to see it. I?m not a naughty plumber who has posted in the wrong section. I understand that you might not deem this to be strictly speaking a general East dulwich topic but I hoped on Christmas Day, when a homeless amputee has had their possessions burnt to a cinder in our immediate area you might be a bit flexible. You live and learn.

The thing is homelessness in our area IS a general issue not a lounge issue.

hs - there's this post in the general section

Hi

I went to see him Christmas morning and take a parcel. Apparently when he came back Christmas eve he found his shelter had been on fire. The fire brigade attended and put out the fire, but all his belongings and bedding were either burnt or wet. Not sure whether it was done maliciously or by him accidentally, as he does smoke. His shelter is now exposed to the elements and the space is a mess. While I was there a couple arrived who seem to look after him. They were taking him to their home for Christmas dinner. Another person arrived with a chocolate Christmas log. Is there any handymen out there who could help him rebuild his shelter and provide tarpaulin? He also needs clothes and bedding.

    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
