Hi all

I have my 2yr old niece and 4 yr old nephew coming to stay for 2 nights this week... without parents! (parents will deposit them here before going off for 2 days) A first for them and for me! I am fairly organised, however it would help if I could find a stair gate and a travel cot(for 2 yr old) to borrow for wed/thurs night of this week. In the off chance anyone here can lend one I thought I would try this little request. I am more than happy to leave deposit, pay with wine etc :-)

If you think you can help please pm me and I will check later today. Thanks guys

Also.. top tips on what to do with them?? I was thinking CPP with it's dinosaurs and petting zoo would be a good day out?

*UPDATE* 3pm. I now have a travel cot thanks so this forum :-)

Mt toddler is away this week in Austraia with my OH - so feel free to loot/pillage whatever you need x

Ah - forgot to mention, it'd have to be Monday or Wednesday night for collection - they are the only nights I'm in (apart from tonight too) x

I'd need them back Friday morning...so let me know if that's useful xx

    • Some of the diy stores sell small boards something like 600x600mm. Or southark recycling centre has a dedicated plasterboard container, there are also a few skips on Crystal Palace road
    • I smelt it also and asked a staff member where it was coming from a few days ago.  She said it was something to do with cleaning but I wasn’t sure because it was in poor English and she replied while walking away from me at some speed. I got the impression it was a subject she wasn’t keen to discuss!
    • Are you sure they are not reported as Mock Turtles, by a confused reader of Alice in Wonderland? 🤣
    • Some good shouts above! Agree with zork on Guacamoles (authentic - no frills) and Ganapati, and agree with malumbu on En Root - really love that place.  @Eats Dulwich - I like Roti King too, although my Malaysian friend says this is only one type of Malaysian cooking, and there are plenty of other good restaurants around London  - Normah's (Queensway) is another classic - Mambow (which moved from Peckham to Clapton unfortunately) was amazing too - but I think I might prefer Janda to all the above - maybe best to wait a few weeks before visiting Janda, to let the post-Times-review crowd settle down!
