APS FILM TO digital

Has anyone had any recent experience of converting APS film which has already been developed into Digital prints/ cds I would love to get some of my daughters photos from her first couple of years into a book and I only have the prints and the developed canister. Annoyingly at the time there was an option to get them onto CDs but the extra pound or so seemed a lot more at the time. I've seen a couple of online companies but have a bit of a fear of posting stuff.
