This starts from outside Canada Water Library SE16 7AR at 10am and returns at noon. In between riders will travel the Waterlink Way with a little assistance from the train.

Be prompt at the start because the plan is to catch thye 10.10am Overground train to Sydenham and then ride down to Bells Green and join the Waterlink Way (Nat Route 21). Return is via Ladywell Fields and Brookmill Park to the junction with Quietway 1.

Then follow QW1 through Deptford to Folkestone Gardens. From there go through Deptford Park, along Surrey Canal Linear Path and past Greenland Dock to Canada Water. This is an easy 1.5 hour ride with lots of off-road paths. The map is here:

REMEMBER TO BEING YOUR OYSTER OR CONTACTLESS PAYMENT CARD. The fare is ?1.50.

Riders can also join this ride at Sydenham Overground Station at 10.25am. The ride is organised and led by Southwark Cyclists which is the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign. Everything we do is free and everyone is welcome

    • There was a previous thread about them about 6 months ago. Since then, they have been found guilty and fined for illegal street trading and collections in June in the City of London. https://news.cityoflondon.gov.uk/we-r-blighty-pleads-guilty-of-illegal-street-trading-and-collections-in-the-city/
    • The Government has set an ambitios target to build 1.5 million new homes bu the end of this 4 year term. Possibly unachievable due to various issues in the building industry but ambitious none the less.  What they seem to have failed to plan for, which was brought home by this year's drought, is adding more inferstructure including Reservoirs, power lines and sewerage treatment centres.  Ate they setting us up for more problems in the future?
    • If you know the layout of the Chequers estate, it is clearly unfeasible and logistically complex to project images onto the facade of the main building. Unless you are the military or something.
