intexasatthe moment
I'm interested in details of wind speeds and direction in East Dulwich during the early morning of Jan 18th .I've found this https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/uk/london/historic?month=1&year=2018which does seem to show a strong blast at 3.50am . Am I correct in intepreting the arrow as showing that the wind was coming from the West and blowing to the East ??? sandyman
Is this regarding an insurance claim?A few years ago some slates blew off our roof and we put in a claim. An assessor came all the way from somewhere like Swindon, opened his computer, looked at the windspeeds on the night in question and said we weren't covered - I can't remember whether it was because it was too windy or not windy enough butI don't know why he couldn't have googled "weather" from his desk in Swindon rather than come all the way to SE22 to do it. uncleglen
yes- in the green bar at the bottom of your link there is a W...that means the wind is blowing from the West to the East Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/180890-one-for-the-specialists/#findComment-1215208 Share on other sites
intexasatthe moment
sandyman....but....surely the main point was that the slates were blown off ,so presumably the wind was strong enough ?Do insurance policies specify certain wind speeds before a claim can be made ?
