Yesterday I had to dispose of the third dead fox in my garden in a couple of years. Am I just unlucky or do other people have them die in their garden as well?

Do you know what they appeared to have died of?

Were they injured?

Is one of your neighbours putting down poisoned food?

This one was a cub/young adolescent and didn't seem to be injured.

Sounds odd to me, surely young foxes don't normally die of natural causes?

strange! some body in your local area must be poisoning them.. our local ones seem to have gone amiss too!!!!!

Actually they do. The garden next to us was unkempt for years and regularly used by families of foxes. We had had occasional dead foxes but when the garden next door was cleared by property developers they found a surprising number of cub skeletons.

We had loads of foxes in our garden and they all disappeared at the same time. I think someone is poisoning them or catching them.

That was what was so strange. Lots of foxes - they all disappeared at the same time and no bodies in our gardens.

Maybe they've just gone somewhere else?

I once had a fox sleeping in my garden every day, then one day it just went away and never came back.

It never occurred to me it might have died, I just assumed it found somewhere else to sleep!

It is possible that Foxes can die after eating Mice or Rats that have been Poisoned.

What Bodies.. The Foxes. ? Well one is in peckhampam's garden.

The Mice, Rats, ?? The Fox ate them ..

  Dear families, My name is Eleanor. I’ve worked in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for the past eight years, and I’m about to begin an Infant Observation course in preparation for psychotherapy training. I’m looking for a baby to observe as part of this training. The observation involves me visiting a baby and their parent for one hour a week over two years, with the aim of deepening my understanding of early emotional and developmental processes. Taking part is a generous contribution to the training of future child psychotherapists — ultimately supporting the mental health of children and families. Both of my own children were observed as babies, which I found to be a really positive experience. Having an observer gently witness my babies’ development helped me notice their weekly changes in a new way, and I came to appreciate the calm, consistent presence of a trained observer.
