Nanny share q - please help

I think it depends if the other children are also in the nanny's care full time. If one of the children is before and after school I am not sure that a 1/3rd share it totally fair.

Also depends where the children will be all the time - if you will alternate houses perhaps a 1/3 shre is fine. Will your child be going to their house all the time as there is food to factor in etc.

Hi, thanks for your answers. The share is based full time at their house and all three children will be with the nanny all day. We already compensate for food etc. I guess I could factor in that they are using their home all the other time but I do think that's actually a great benefit. In my old share, the older child was at school so we paid a 1/3 for part of the day and 1/2 for the time when there were just two. In the holidays, when all were together all day, it was 1/3 to me.

Etta, just curious why do you think it should be 50:50? To me it seems like I would be paying half the costs to have my child receive less attention?

Also agree on 50:50 split and have done so in the past (although my two were at school and the other nanny share child was not). Ultimately, you can?t really split ?attention? based on the number of kids as harsh as that sounds! If it does bother you though, you may be better off with a 1:1 share or sole charge perhaps?

I actually had the same question for a nanny share where there would be 4 children but one would be only after school (for less than 3 hours) and the others full time with the nanny but the family is expecting a 50/50 split. Does anyone ever due a split in proportion to the actual hours per child?
