Live-in nanny required in Herne Hill

Recommended Posts

Hello!!!

We are seeking an affectionate, fun-loving and responsible live-in nanny for our two children, a girl of 7 and a boy of 5, to start as soon as possible, in Herne Hill.

We are a life-loving family of five (including our little dog, Trousers!) and are looking for someone to join our household to help steer our happy ship!

We're looking for someone who:

? Is fluent in English.

? Has 4+yrs experience of taking care of children of a similar age to ours.

? Has a genuine love and passion for looking after children.

? Is an outdoorsy, dog-friendly person, who loves to be outside, whether they?re kicking a ball, walking the dog, collecting insects or riding a bike.

? Is really pro-active, energetic and sociable, with a cracking sense of humour and a love of being busy and doing ?stuff?, from craft and playing musical instruments to rainy day play and homework supervision.

? Is passionate about food ? we are enthusiastic foodies! ? and loves experimenting in the kitchen, making nurtritious and delicious meals for kids to eat.

? Just loves to get stuck in, whether it?s helping with homework, overseeing music practice - or chatting over a glass of wine once the kids are in bed.

? Is uber-organised when it comes to getting ready for school, making sure the kids have done their homework and have the right kit for the right day!

? Wants to be an active part of a busy, noisy, vibrant and fun-filled household, rather than viewing it as 'just a job'.

? Has a UK/EU visa/work permit

? Is a non-smoker

? Holds a full driving licence

You?d have a large double-bedroom with comfy sofa, glorious views of Brockwell Park and wireless internet access, along with sole use of a bathroom, all on your own floor at the top of the house.

We live in Herne Hill, a wonderful area with a fantastic sense of community in South-East London. Everything you need is nearby, from cute cafes and delicious delis to pretty parks, bars, pubs and restaurants - but we?re also just 10 minutes by train from central London (Victoria and Blackfriars). Our nearest station is Herne Hill, just four minutes? walk away.

Working hours & responsibilities: Full-time (7am-7pm), but with plenty of opportunity for time off during the day during term-time, due to both children being in full-time education. Babysitting once or twice a week, agreed in advance.

We have a cleaner, who comes to the house every Monday.

Salary, which is paid weekly, is dependent on experience, between ?325 and ?400 p/week. Paid holiday of 4 weeks per year, plus public holidays.

Think this might be the job for you?

Please send us your CV - we?d love to hear from you!!

    • Sire you weren't around the back of the station where asking for a fag has a whole different connotation
    • Very grateful for any recommendations (not ads, please) of sleep consultants that anyone has used with success. On 5-6 wake ups a night with our son and needing some help to change things. Thank you!
    • Yes, should have given up by now but haven’t. Was waiting for my train yesterday and went into WHS on platform to buy a pack of fags. Almost feel to the floor when guy quoted me £28.00 for a packet of Silk Cut purple. Was a long day for me and thought I had totally misheard him! Asked again, only to be told that that was the price whuch is well over the odds..when I queried it as have bought, admittedly end of last year was told “ this is what management charges”. Surely this can’t be right…fags stayed in WHS paws while I bought some in Herne Hill at normal price. Still reeling over shock…..
    • I use the one in peckham where lidles is they are really good if you need somewhere closer
