After school childminder needed

Hello

We are a family in Brixton and we're looking for an after school childminder for our 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son, term time only. I work a part time shift pattern over two weeks. Week one I need pick ups on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays and then week two I need pick ups on Tuesday and Wednesday. Some flexibility would be amazing as my shifts do change and some weeks there will be extra days. The hours are 15:30-19:00, starting late March or after the Easter holidays.

We would like someone with lots of energy, who's fun, caring, understanding and patient, who'd enjoy taking the kids to the park, play dates and other after school activities, help with their reading, some homework and cooking their evening meal.

Good spoken English, checkable references and CRB certificate essential please.

Many thanks,

Rachel

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
