Can anyone help please. The flat above me has creaking wooden floorboards and a new baby. We are looking to make good the existing floorboards or repair and lay some sort of soundproofing insulation. Can anyone recommend a builder or someone that might ge able to help urgently. Thank you.

Hi

I am looking into having wooden flooring live in flat and can not stand the click click sound and of course do not want the people under use to suffer looked into it and the best soundproof I have found is

soundproofstore.co.uk

You will need someone to fit it but this company does all soundproofing

Hope this helps

    • Hi there - would like to recommend Ray who has done an amazing job for me (I've used him a few times now). He has painted my entire flat (including window cill areas that were in a pretty bad state) and also a front door and porch area. He is meticulous in his work and incredibly clean and tidy and an absolute pleasure to have around. He's a really nice guy and I will definitely use him again. Tel: 07927 2239023
    • Please don't encourage people who want the trees removed! I love seeing all the trees round here! My war is against Photinias. I bloody hate them. They are everywhere. And they are just getting their horrible red leaves at the top. My partner points them out to me from the tops of buses. My  daughter sends me videos of them to taunt me 🤣
    • agree with Sue and Sue given that trees can be relied upon to lose their leaves once a year at the same time, the council is going to have its work cut out cleaning everyone's streets simultaneously - in addition to all the stuff that needs doing in later autumn.  The leaves form an excellent garden mulch and a bit of citizen action to complement the council is probably all that's needed. Or maybe the council could just get rid of the trees?  then we'll free up so much time to go to war on the dogs instead!
    • Hello, My 10 year old sporty boy is regularly getting up very early. Are there any sports club in or near ED before school that you'd recommend? Thanks, Sue
