Hi all,

Pleased to announce our first (of what we expect to be regular) kids art class pop ups at 57 by Suzanne James at 57 North Cross Rd off Lordship Lane.

My wife Ubie (from Hong Kong) will be doing 3 classes, 2 on a Chinese NY theme (which falls on 16th Feb) - the YEAR OF THE DOG!! The children will learn to draw and colour a cute dog and adorn it with hand-made (by the kids!) origami lucky stars collar. Our second class is entitled 'Mandala of Joy' -the children will use a ruler, compass and stencils to create their own cool Mandala design, learn about the colour wheel and then colour it! Great for concentration and calmness but also FUN

More details on the flyer attached.....

Both classes are for 90 mins and are only ?15 each. ALL materials provided and the kids will learn some great art skills and produce something really nice to take away and impress their friends and family...the classes are suitable for kids 6 - 11 (but older kids are very welcome too of course)...

We have limited tickets available, and you can reserve your spots on our site

Tues 13 Feb is also Shrove Tuesday and Suzanne will be laying on pancakes. There will also be the opportunity for Mums to kick back and get a mini manicure whilst the kids are having fun, grab a coffee or head out locally whilst the children are in a safe environment

Please feel free to email us at [email protected] if you have any questions

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
    • Perry Bamonte from The Cure.. Just 65 years old.
