Cook For Syria Supper Club

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Me and my cousins are running a charity supper club in Peckham on the 2nd of March. All profits will go to UNICEF's work with Syrian children. Some friends of ours who are Syrian refugees are helping us cook so the food is going to be really authentic and delicious. If anyone's interested please help us out by passing the information on to your friends and family.

For tickets you can either donate directly at JustGiving https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/the-couscous-cousins and email me at [email protected] or [email protected] to let me know how many tickets you want or you can buy them at billetto.co.uk https://billetto.co.uk/e/syrian-charity-supper-club-tickets-256745

Thank you and hope to see you there!

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
