was walking the doggies in the park yesterday when a sainsbury's delivery van came trundling along the footpath. as the dogs were scampering back and forth, I stopped the van asked what he was doing. he said he was delivering to the cafe (0n the other side of the park) and was lost. I told him where the cafe was and he said (honest!): "i've done the delivery but I couldn't find a way back out." he then drove off along the narrow path beside the picnic area and managed to rip some branches off the trees. the last we saw of him was getting jammed in somewhere near the saxby gardens. what a pillock

Very profound/true signature, Alan M :)

Never noticed it on your posts before.

Though I would have put an "apparently" before the first "looking".

Sorry, as you were thread people :))

Satnavs eh? Pahhh

I live on the Nunhead side of Peckham Rye and came across a car round the back of Torridge Gardens. The driver asked me where the cafe was in the park as their satnav had told them to come down Torridge Gardens.

I said, couldn't you see the park on your right as you drove up here? TYhey said they had. I said, did you not see the road leading IN to the park? They said yes.

    • It’s even worse this weekend, the bass is unbearable.    The fact SE22 is getting upset about something in an entirely different Borough probably suggests how bloody loud it is that we can still hear it from here!? It must be awful for those living right next to it as I feel stressed enough from half an hour away. I don’t see any benefit to the local community, it blocks off our green spaces, makes it deeply unpleasant to be at home every weekend, and most attending will be from outside of the area. I also wonder if these events are the reason there are so many dead fish currently bobbing around the lake in brockwell park? Pretty miserable for the local wildlife too.
