Stamps are expensive enough as it is, without paying more for them to cover the costs of employing Royal Mail staff on Sundays to collect a few letters from people who didn't get it together to post on Saturday :))

Apologies for the very long sentence :))

Yeh, like the days when you got several deliveries of post a day, and might even get the first one before you left for work in the morning .....

The olden days ..... like when you could buy broken biscuits by the pound :))

Well actually I can't remember what weight they were sold by, but a quarter of a pound didn't seem like many biscuits :))

Got a load more at school for the same price if you got broken ones at break time (hoho) though :)

    • Would this not be a complaint better aimed at the council? Isn't it an anti social behaviour issue?  I think of myself as pretty live-and-let-live and feel like a miserable cow for saying this, but I do think I might complain. Personally I love the sound of fireworks but our dog is under the table, shaking like a leaf night after night and collapses in the street when he hears the noise.  I'm worried his heart'll give out.
    • The lower / no bang noise fireworks sound great.    Is there anywhere local selling those?
    • This petition to reduce the noise of fireworks is currently going through Parliament https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/738192
    • Have you complained to the solicitor directly and did they respond within the 8 weeks they have under their code of conduct - I presume they have and this is why you have escalated further to the SRA? If he doesn't respond in a timely fashion per the SRA code of conduct then I am sure they will need to take action.
