A beautiful, spacious double room in a lovely home and area in London! No agent fees and only 3 minute walk from East Dulwich station. Couples welcome!

My boyfriend and I are moving into our own flat on 24th Feb and are looking for an individual or couple to take over the remaining tenancy term until Aug 18 when the tenancy will be renewed.

The house is spread over 2 floors and is fully furnished. Downstairs there is a spacious lounge room, with 2 sofas, TV and dining table, huge kitchen with lots of storage, dishwasher, american style fridge and 6 ring gas oven and a toilet. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also lovely brand new deck at the rear of the house, perfect for BBQs!

The available room is at the front of the house and has a large bay window, which lets in lots of natural light. The bedroom comes with a bed and some drawer storage.

Our housemates are great. We are all pretty independent but enjoy having dinners all together from time to time. This is a home rather than a party house but that's not to say we don't enjoy a wine and the occasional late night!

The house is super close to Lordship Lane which is packed with lots of great pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Peckham Rye is also nearby and great spot for a picnic!

East Dulwich Station is a 3 minute walk from the house. Trains go every 10 mins during peak hour to London Bridge station (10 min ride). Denmark Hill station is a couple of minutes up the road by bus.

The house has a full sky package, super fast broadband, and a weekly cleaner for the common areas but for a touch extra she can clean your room too.

We also have direct contact with the landlord so if there is anything that ever needs sorting it gets done very quickly!

The room is available on 24 February. Please get in touch with me if you are interested to arrange a viewing. Singles and couples welcome!

The rent is ?923 pcm (not including bills).

If you're interested, please phone or text Vari on 07837563903 to arrange a viewing and to meet the housemates!

    • Thanks Penguin. It could be a coincidence. But after years of road safety being on the local agenda they finally put the crossings in months before Dulwich Estates regain the lease on The Grove.   The Estate understands there is strong local interest in improving this area and we hope to be in a position to share some exciting updates in the near future. The temporary skatepark will remain unaffected. “Temporary skatepark” is telling.
    • Back to my earlier post about familiarity.  I was in Croydon this afternoon walking between the two main stations.  Didn't feel unsafe, but there were some 'interesting' characters on the street.  Not that any were bothered with me. Not a place I'd choose to go for a bit of a fun.  Although having said that West Croydon has some cracking restaurants and the wonderfully named Saints and Sinners bar, where I once went on a corporate do - not that I did many of these. Whoops just checked and it closed a few months ago. Back on track, I never went to the Castle as I felt it was a bit rough.  How wrong was I?  Only real pub left in the area.
    • Wow Sue! I was reading your post with interest as I’ve never really felt unsafe in London and I was born here. It was just your last paragraph that derailed me and totally changed the subject matter! So unnecessary.
