My son was referred to Evelina and the wait was almost 6 months for an appt. This was for a gastro paed but just something to be cautious of.

I ended up going private to Harley St Paediatrics. Bupa covered it all on the basis that I had been referred for NHS treatment. I just used the copy of the Evelina letter I had.

Ah, as I thought - thanks for letting me know - I will be going private straight away - I'm heading home from overseas especially to have my son seen so only have a few weeks - especially if there are more procedures/referrals.

And just thought NHS won't see us as currently we're 'not' residents so not paying taxes hey .. hmmm ..

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
