I lost my purse on the southbound number 40 bus this afternoon, at 3.30pm. I realised my rucksack was open when I got off at Champion Hill, and the purse was gone. What a disaster!

The purse is small, leather and mustardy yellow, quite worn. It is from COS. I am sure this is a shot in the dark, but I thought it was worth a try. There will most definitely be a reward if it's found or someone has picked it up.

Thanks for reading!

Happened to me once on a 37 from Herne Hill when I was using a rucksack, someone unzipped the outer pocket and removed my purse and mobile. And I always thought I was so extremely careful :-$

And the bus company won't look at CCTV unless requested by the police - who would hardly be going to go to all that trouble for a relatively minor theft.

I haven't used the rucksack since - I keep my purse in a zipped up inner pocket in a zipped up bag. Could still be taken, but with a lot more difficulty.

ETA: Sorry to state the obvious, but I hope you've cancelled all your cards. Terrible pain but worse pain if somebody is using them.

Join [PSC] today at 1pm outside Downing Street to bang pots and pans and say: Stop starving Gaza. Stop arming Israel. ... We will be outside Downing Street today from 1pm, banging pots and pans to symbolise the famine Israel is deliberately inflicting on Palestinians, and to protest against Keir Starmer and his government’s complicity in genocide. Join us if you can at 1pm, and bring a pot to bang. Make sure Keir Starmer and his cabinet hear us loud and clear.'
    • I would say Franco Manca had a few branches long before the East Dulwich one - that one took ages to open because of all the interior work they had to do to the old Black Cherry/Draft House layout When I walk past Bill's in Lewes now it still looks like the original Bill's - but I would never go in there as it is in no way "local" now - just the same overpriced, under flavoured stodge they have rolled out across the  country  (that being said, the East Dulwich one has been there 10 years now - blimey. Time, eh?) Looking at random FM locations on streeview, 2015 seems to be the year they exploded everywhere (ED included)
