Black and white male probably only a year or 2 old.

Keeps hanging around and now won?t leave.

Can?t let him in as I have cats of my own and am not able to get him to vets to check for chip.

Been hanging around acre drive for a few weeks.

He seems very stressed and is vocal with really long whiskers.

He seems lost or stray.

Do you know who he belongs to?

It?s very cold out and I?m worried about him.

Unnutered male cats are vocal during mating season, so it could be that he has got lost on the scent of a female (also common for unneutered males to get lost because of this). Give Celia Hammond a call. They may come out and check him for a chip.

Hi yes that?s him. It?s definitely a boy.

He won?t accept any dried food, didn?t turn his nose up at steak the other day.

He hangs around acre drive with my cat that looks very similar to him and a big fluffy tabby.

We don?t see as much of him as we used to and it?s usually early mornings or early evenings.

Haven?t been able to take him for a chip check and I assume he is a stray.

If I do see him when the vets are open I will grab him and take him to the vets.

Very friendly and eager to get indoors until be cones face to face with my female cat as she hates other cats.

Hi

The cat belongs to my neighbour on Crystal Palace Rd and is called Riley. He isn?t well looked after and is often left to his own devices for periods of time, however, he gets fed when he is around. A big ginger tom is challenging him on his territory here, so I?m seeing him less and less.

The problem with this cat (riley) is he doesn?t know how to respond to other cats, his first reaction is to bite the other cats neck, he is gentil and my cat is OK with him, but the ginger cat is not. Seen a huge fight with them recently. The ginger cat doesn?t seem to bother with my cat, so I guess it?s a male dominance thing. My cat has been neutered and is very good with others. If he was neutered. He isn?t even sure how to react to humans he?s very jumpy when stroked but will let you pick him up without a struggle. Could you not speak to owner about neutering him? Is his owner elderly or need support then Celia Hammond should be able to help.

You have had the chance to talk to us in the garden the past few days about Riley. Instead of posting it on the forum, why not simply come and speak to us about Riley. I am extremely upset that you feel the need to talk about this with strangers who have nothing to do with the situation. Riley has had flea treatment put on him 4 days ago so PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANYMORE ON HIM!!!!! We have had him for 6 years and chosen not to get him neutered as he is not an aggressive cat, he simply comes and goes as he pleases, i do not wish to lock him in at night and cause him stress, and HE IS WELL FED.

No offence was intended by what I posted. I was responding to other people?s concerns on here and trying to reassure them that he is not a stray and that he has an owner. I have spoken to you a couple of times about him in the past. Happy to discuss this elsewhere.

The reason I came on here in the first place is because of my concerns over the ginger cat who has injured our cat and another resident?s cat recently. It seems other people have been having issues too, and I?m not sure what ? if anything ? to do.

Wow.... your cat is not neutered - no wonder you don't keep him in at night.......he would spray all over your house. Be a responsible cat owner and get your cat neutered.

Here's some other reasons why he should be neutered: -

Reduced fighting and associated injuries

Reduction of ?Tom cat odour?

Decreased spraying

Prevents roaming, as they will generally not sense female pheromones

Prevents unwanted litters

Not to mention the spread of FIV and also the CAT KILLER is out there!!!

    • I never said I thought it was targeted or deliberate. There also has never been a “stand off” or confrontation, we’ve spoken to them in a friendly manner about it. Our experience is they don’t seem to care. That’s the frustrating thing for us, if someone politely raises a concern at least take a second to reflect. Treat others how you would want to be treated.  I don’t want them to lose their job, far from it. But considering it could cost me a days work to fix any damage, I’m within my right to try prevent it.
    • The SE22 Evri delivery family are lovely, and always say hello wherever we spot them in the area. We gave them a box of chocolates during Covid as they were working their socks off at Christmas
    • What was he doing on the stage at Glastonbury? Or on the stage at the other concert in Finsbury Park? Grinning like a Cheshire cat whilst pissed and stoned 20 somethings on the promise of free internet sung-- Oh Jeremy Corbyn---  What were his policies for Northern mining towns with no jobs or infrastructure? Free Internet and university places for youngsters. What were his other manifesto pledges? Why all the ambiguity over Brexit?  I didn't like Thatcher, Blair or May or Tony but I respected them as politicians because they stood by what they believed in. I respect all politicians across the board that stick to their principles. Corbyn didn't and its why he got  annihilated at the polls. A socialist, anti imperialist and anti capitalist that said he voted for an imperialist and pro capitalist cabal. He refused to say how he'd vote over and over again until the last knockings. He did so to appease the Islington elite and middle class students he was courting. The same people that were screaming that Brexit was racist. At the same time the EU were holding black and Asian immigrants in refugee camps overseas but not a word on that! Corbyn created and courted a student union protest movement that screamed at and shouted down anyone not on the left . They claimed Starmer and the centre right of labour were tories. He didn't get elected  because he, his movement and policies were unelectable, twice. He turned out not to have the convictions of his politics and died on his own sword.    Reform won't win an election. All the idiots that voted for them to keep out Labour actually enabled Labour. They'll be back voting tory next time.    Farage wouldn't be able to make his millions if he was in power. He's a very devious shyster but I very much doubt he'd actually want the responsibility that governance requires.
    • The purge of hard left members that were part of Corbyn's, Mcdonnel's and Lansmans momentum that purged the party of right wing and centrist members. That's politics. It's what Blair did to win, its what Starmer had to do to win. This country doesn't vote in extreme left or right governments. That's partly why Corbyn lost  We're pretty much a centrist bunch.  It doesn't make it false either. It's an opinion based on the voting patterns, demography and statistics. Can you explain then why former mining constituencies that despise the tories voted for them or abstained rather than vote for Corbyns Labour?  What is the truth then? But he never got elected!!! Why? He should have been binned off there and then. Why he was allowed to hang about is an outrage. I hold him party responsible for the shit show that we've had to endure since.
