We're looking for someone to help "mum" at home with a 6 week old baby boy for a few hours during the week. We can be flexible on timing so this role might suit someone with their own children at nursery during the day.

Tasks would principally involve looking after our baby (bottle-feeding, playing, settling for sleep) while mum catches up with some sleep, but also helping out with light household tasks e.g. baby's laundry, loading the dishwasher, picking up groceries etc.

We live on Bushey Hill Road, SE5 (10 mins walk from Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye).

CRB checks required and ideally experience with young babies.

Hi here I'm available I've looked after a little girl since she was four months old now she at big school and a little boy of from a year old and loved every minute of it so I'm free in the day time and Babby sitting in the evenings as well I'm DBS check as I've worked in a school as well kind regards Sharon

    • My mum (91 years young!) well remembers going to Austin's as a child, which she described as an 'Aladdin's Cave'!  She absolutely loved it - and is still a shopping fiend to this day (I 'blame' Austin's 😉). Going back up Peckham Rye, passing Austin's on your right hand-side, just past Phillips Walk (so not far from Austin's at all), I believe there was a British Relay Wireless shop - this would have been in the late 1930s/early 1940s.  Does anyone know anything about this? My grandad (my mum's dad) used to manage it; it was severely damaged in The Blitz - but I am having trouble locating it.  Mum's memory is dim (she was 6 at the time); she originally thought it was in Rye Lane, but we think now it was in Peckham Rye just up from Phillips Walk (originally Phillips Road).
    • Thanks everyone, this will need to be reported again as the fox was still mobile and walking down the road when last seen... hopefully someone will spot and report.
