mysticmark
Hi, our flat has laminate flooring, on quite thick underlay, then floorboards, then flat below. We want to reduce noise to flat below CHEAPLY.The laminate looks nice, so was thinking a large rug that leaves a bit of the hard floor showing around edge rather than carpetting fully, with a good quality underlay.Any personal experience of doing sthg similar? Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/185381-reccs-to-reduce-noise-between-floors/ Share on other sites
Ellie78
We are at the receiving end of this. They put a carpet down over thick underlay (there is a section in the lease that forbids any wooden flooring). It?s made a bit of a difference but not much to be honest. If anything the upstairs tenants now bounce around on the nice plush carpet so noise is worse sometimes...
