After School childminder need 3:30 -7pm

Hello,

We are a family in Brixton and we're looking for an after school childminder for our 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son, term time only, until October. I work a part time shift pattern over two weeks. Week one I need pick ups on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then week two I need pick ups on Tuesday and Wednesday. Some flexibility would be amazing as my shifts do change and some weeks there will be extra days/inset days etc. The hours are 3:30-7, starting April 17th with an introduction day before the Easter Holidays. Duties include picking the kids up from school(Herne Hill), trips to the park, play dates, fun activities and a healthy evening meal cooked for them.

We would like someone who's fun, caring and understanding, reliable and responsible.

Good spoken English, checkable references, DBS, must be local to Herne Hill/Dulwich/Brixton please.

  I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.

  I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
