Sue
Stupid question, but have you tried unscrewing the pipes at the U-bend and getting the blockage out from underneath?I have no plumbing skills whatsoever, but it worked with my kitchen sink!Just make sure you put a bowl or bucket underneath!Alternatively, you can get strong unblocking stuff from a DIY shop or supermarket. singalto
I put a load of bicarbonate of soda over the hole, pour white vinegar over it and finish off with boiling water. It usually works a treat.
