SueJ Posted March 14, 2018 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Event Planner As an event Manager you?ll have responsibility for putting on a range of events.You?ll manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the actual day itself.The Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role, experience of working in a similar role is preferred but not essential. We are looking for a customer focussed individual with the ability to work under pressure whilst maintain a positive, can do attitude. You will need excellent organisation and time management skills with an eye for detail and the ability use your own initiative.Communication skills are key, allowing you to build strong and effective working relationships across the business and to create a rapport with guests.You will need to be IT literate and it would be advantageous for you to have some knowledge in Excel.Types of EventsYou?ll typically work on the following kind of events:1. Corporate Events2. Private Parties3. Weddings Responsibilities ? Liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements ? Produce detailed proposals for events? Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example venue, menu, beverages, staff & hire).? Manage all pre-event planning? Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budgetWorking HoursYou?ll generally work normal office hours in the lead up to an event.
