    • I'm glad you've had a good experience/dealings with him.  This has been our  experience/dealings (or lack of) with him.
    • The whole point of a family meal is for us to celebrate the families birthdays and we have traditionally paid. Both daughters only work part time and have mortgages etc.  The food was good at the Vietnamese [lace but was spoilt by the overcharging of beverages. The 2 veggies usually share each other's food!  £30 per head is way too much especially given the children do not eat much. When you do a booking at £x per head that usually covers all adults and children and only toddlers sharing parents food go 'free'
    • Anything could have happened.  There may  have been a medical or family  emergency for all you know. In my experience Tommy Rooney has been an excellent communicator, and your description of him doesn't sound like him at all.
    • I agree. I'm just glad I gave up decades ago. I used to smoke very heavily (tobacco, not anything else!) and if I was still smoking that heavily now I probably couldn't afford to eat! Not to mention the effect on my health. But when I was growing up almost everybody smoked. How times have changed! BTW what on earth is "fake tobacco"? What is it if it isn't tobacco?
