Hello. My elderly father grew up on Zenoria Street, Dulwich and as a child had a best friend called Roy Croft. He's keen to try and find him and would love to hear how he is doing or hear from his family. Roy would be in his early 80s now. I know very little apart from that but hoping someone in the area may know of the family or may have elderly relatives who can help? Literally any clues or ideas of where we can extend the search would be amazing. Many thanks, Tori

Hi - just managed to dig out some more information! I think it was 1940 onwards (not sure until when). Roy had a younger brother, Brian, and I think their father's name was Leslie, his mother was possibly Lilian??

Apparently the Croft family might have been lived on Avondale Rise in Peckham, with my father being on parallel Danby Street before they both moved to other addresses. Leslie and later Roy worked for the London Press Exchange [an advertising agency] and were both Account Executives.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
