Child development research - any parents of 2-year-olds?

Recommended Posts

Hi East Dulwich parents!

We are a research group based at King's College London, just up the road in Denmark Hill. We were wondering if any parents of two-year-olds might be interested in helping us test an online questionnaire? All participants have the chance to win a ?100 Mothercare and Early Learning Centre gift voucher!

Questions ask parents about their child?s behaviour and development, as well as their own experiences and wellbeing as a parent. At the end there are three short games for parents to play with their child online! Participants complete the questionnaire online, anonymously in their own time.

Let us know if you have any questions - and please do pass this on to anyone else who might be interested. Thank you in advance!

Thank you to everyone who has started (and those who have finished!) the questionnaire so far. We hope that you find it fun and interesting - we are very grateful for your help!

Hi Laura,

Thanks for showing an interest in our study! The questionnaire is limited to one child per person, so you could only do the questionnaire for one of your twins. Hope that helps and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions.

I am not "brushing stuff aside and pleading ignorance." I am truthfully saying when I don't presently know enough about something to comment. I have always been very careful to try to  differentiate between fact and opinion in my posts, and I am not clear what your point is. And I am certainly not trying to wind anybody up. This is a forum. If you don't want to respond to my posts, that's up to you. I'm not sure why you feel the need to announce it.
    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
