Double glazing

I'd like to recommend Oak Sash Windows and the timber double-glazed windows that they fitted. Gedas and Mike did a fantastic job replacing my Edwardian double doors and two windows at the back of the house. It was a complicated job and they took their time to make sure it was done to an extremely high standard. They worked long hours and their attention to detail was excellent, as was their customer service. I had a very different experience with another company, 1st Scenic; it was a lesson in getting what you pay for. 1st Scenic gave the cheapest quote but from the moment the contract was signed they were unpleasant to deal with, unprofessional and at times downright rude. I asked for my deposit to be returned and instead went with my gut feeling, back to Oak Sash. They might not be the cheapest but the quality is definitely worth paying for and I am delighted with the result.

    • I'm a bit of an architecture geek and I must confess I find it one of the most gimmicky ugly redesigns I've seen in a while. I'm always open to quirky but this is just not nice in any way shape or form.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
