Hi everyone, the cat in the photo is an entire male, extremely vocal and usually hungry but he looks healthy and is not underweight. He comes to my back garden late at night and yowls outside my door so I give him food and stroke his head while he eats. Sometimes he tries to get in my house but he is not neutered so I don't let him in as I have a male cat myself. Does anyone know anything about this cat please? He's been coming for the last year or so and I just want to know that he has a loving home. If not I will try to get him checked for a chip and if he has no home I will neuter and adopt him. I live on Copleston Road. Any help finding out more about this lovely Tom will be much appreciated.

I think this cat lives in bellenden road and belongs to a woman. She told me he was neutered at what was then, lomax vets but from what I see he still has a bauble! She said they didn't do it correctly. He gets into a friends cat flap sometimes and squirts, which really is a pain but he def has a owner on bellenden road. He def wasn't castrated properly for sure.
Hello Delanie, thanks so much for your message. Its good to know this baby has a home but the problem is he sprays where ever he goes and whilst I don't mind him visiting my garden at all, I do think his spraying stresses my own cat out and my neighbours cats too. If the owner is reading this, may I respectfully suggest you take him back to a vet who can finish the neutering job? He's a beautiful cat but other residents frown on him because he keeps marking, intimidates other cats and makes lots of noise late at night. Please think on this as a neutered cat is a friendlier and a happier cat. If you need help I will be happy to assist with a lift to the vets. Please contact me if you need help.

Hello Delanie and anyone else who may be able to help. This cat turned up again tonight but he is clearly suffering from cat flu or some other nasty cat virus. His eyes are running badly and he has got really bad snuffles. I'm worried about him and also the fact that because he is not neutered he is putting all other cats in the neighbourhood at risk now. He needs to be taken to a vet urgently so if anyone can let the owner know or pass on their details, I would be most grateful. The state this poor boy is in tonight is unacceptable for a so-called pet and its totally irresponsible and inconsiderate of the owner to let him roam the streets in this condition. Please can someone help? Thank you.

    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
